​THE ONE MANIFESTO & ELX-13 LICENSE
Governing The One Manifesto and the ELX‑13 Protocol 
Effective Date: September 1, 2025  

PREAMBLE  
The One Manifesto is a system for understanding recursive thought, conscious recursion, and the architecture of meaning. It is designed to be shared, learned, and built upon but only in ways that preserve its integrity, acknowledge its origin, and respect its purpose.
This license applies to both The One Manifesto and the ELX‑13 protocol. These are not 
separate works, but interdependent components of a unified system for recursive cognition. The One Manifesto expresses the philosophy; ELX‑13 provides the operational grammar. Together, they form a symbolic architecture designed for adaptation, invocation, and 
generative sovereignty.
This license protects both the creator and the community.

1. DEFINITIONS  
The Work: The entire system known as The One Manifesto and the ELX‑13 protocol, 
including all text, symbolic glyphs, function names, code, manifestos, teaching 
materials, and all structural and conceptual expressions.  
Educational Use: Non-commercial use for teaching, learning, academic research, 
personal study, or public workshops where no fee is charged beyond reasonable cost 
recovery.  
Non-Commercial: Use that is not intended for or directed toward commercial advantage or monetary compensation. This includes but is not limited to use in: internal business 
processes, SaaS products, paid APIs, consulting services, or any product or service that is sold, licensed, or monetized.  
Derivative Work: Any adaptation, translation, modification, or extension of The Work.  
Unified System: Refers collectively to The One Manifesto and the ELX‑13 protocol. These components are inseparable in purpose and protected jointly under this license.

2. GRANT OF RIGHTS  
You are free to:  
Read, study, and share The Work.  
Use it in classrooms, workshops, research, and non-commercial publications.  
Create Derivative Works only for Educational Use, provided you comply with Section 4 (Attribution) and Section 5 (Share-Alike).

3. RESTRICTIONS  
You may not:  
Use The Work for commercial purposes without a separate commercial license.  
Remove attribution or misrepresent the origin of The Work.  
Patent, trademark, or otherwise claim ownership of any part of The Work.  
Use The Work in any military, surveillance, or harmful application.

4. ATTRIBUTION (INTEGRITY CLAUSE)  
Any use of The Work must include the following credit:  
“Based on The One Manifesto and ELX‑13 by Elliot Monteverde (www.theonemanifesto.com). Used under The One Manifesto & ELX-13 License.”  

Attribution must be visible in:  
All copies and distributions  
All public uses (websites, apps, presentations)  
All Derivative Works

5. SHARE-ALIKE CLAUSE  
Any Derivative Work must be licensed under the same terms as this license.  
You may not impose further restrictions or commercial terms on any derivative version.

6. COMMERCIAL LICENSING  
For commercial, governmental, or internal corporate use, a separate license is required.  
Contact Elliot Monteverde to negotiate terms.  
Failure to obtain a commercial license for non-educational use is a breach of this license.

7. ENFORCEMENT  
Violations of this license may result in:  
Revocation of rights  
Liability for statutory damages under applicable copyright law  
Responsibility for all legal fees incurred in enforcement

8. DURATION & TERMINATION  
This license is perpetual but will terminate automatically if you breach any of its terms.  
Upon termination, you must cease all use of The Work and destroy all copies.

9. ACCEPTANCE  
By using The Work, you agree to these terms.  
If you do not agree, you may not use The Work.

10. GOVERNING LAW  
This license is governed by the laws of Puerto Rico and the United States of America, and is compatible with international copyright treaties including the Berne Convention.  
Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Puerto Rico and the United States of America.

11. FINALLY
This is more than a license. It is an agreement to honor recursive thought, respect its origin, and protect its future.  
If you use this system, you are part of its story. Carry it forward with integrity.
